Shell had a variety of transport related issues including late deliveries due to unauthorized stoppages and route deviations, growing number of road accidents mainly due to over speeding, limitations to analyze accidents and determine contributing factors, assessment of drivers’ performance, high maintenance costs and downtime.
C-track Solution
Shell was offered a consolidated solution comprising of C-track Assist with Ctrack 5 Base Station at the client side with FMIS analytical reports. The results so far have been amazing. Imposition of speed limits kept the drivers away from over speeding resulting in reduction in the accident rates. The graph of maintenance costs related to wear, tear and fuel also came down due to the proper driving within the prescribed speed limits. By means of the base station Shell could monitor and control the movement and performance of their entire fleet.
