How to subscribe?
Simple SMS ‘TEST’ to 1000 to receive an SMS with a link. Downlaod the link and run the application to enjoy the free 30-day trial*. You would require a GPRS and GPS enabled handset, or a Bluetooth GPS device to use MobiTrack.
How does it work?
MobiTrack is a complete navigation solution specially designed for Pakistan. Using the GPS receiver of either you cell phone or a Bluetooth GPS device, it calculates you position and provides you turn-by-turn voice guidance along with 3D digital maps. So now MobiTrack allows you to reach any destination easily.
Where does it work?
MobiTrack currently covers Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad (along with highway connecting these cities). More major cities are coming soon.
Find Address
Currently, mobitack provides its users with a facility of street-level searching in Karachi, Lahore and Islamambad. By selecting the city, area and by typing the house number, a user can locate any street in these three cities. With a help of a voice guidance feature, a user can easily reach the required destingation without any hassle.
Discover Nearby
With MobiTrack, you can track places of interest near you, covering a variety of places – from ATMs to fuel station, and restaurants to pharmacies. You can simply search the address of any restaurant or bank by typing its name, and MobiTrack will guide all the way to your destination.
My Favourites
This feature allows you to save any location or address as your personal favourite. You can select ‘Save’ from the menu at any address or destination to your list of favourites through MobiTrack.
Find Me
To view your current position, select ‘Where Am I?’ in the menu. (or press ‘6’ on the keypad). Your position will be constantly updated, while you stay on the move.
Share your Location
If you want to share your current location with your friends, press ‘fire key’, scroll down and select ‘Share this’. Your location will be sent as a sync SMS to MobiTrack users; even a non-MobiTrack user can receive the SMS as a simple text containing the address.
Destination information
With MobiTrack you can find any required location or destination. If your search was not explicit, all results are presented in a list. You can choose through the list of options and select the best suited for your requirement.
- You can sort the result list by distance or by name (option given in the menu).
- By selecting the upper row you can view all results in the list on a map.
- Selecting an item on the list gets you more information about the selected location.
Once you have selected your destination you have a number of useful options:
Select ‘Route’ to calculate optimum route to start navigation.
View any location on a map
Find interesting places like restaurants, gas stations, shopping centers etc. nearby.
If the destination is provided with a phone number, you can call the number by selecting ‘Call’.
Choose your start position. This option is helpful if you want to simulate a route or get text instructions if GPS is disabled.
Share any location with friends and colleagues by sending it in the form of an SMS to another MobiTrack user.
You can receive the latest weather updates for any location/destination through the ‘Weather’ feature. This feature can provide both 24 hours and 5 day forecast.
